6-Week OHIP-Covered Program for Cholesterol & Cardiovascular Prevention

Our Virtual Heart Health Group Program is a six-week, evidence-based educational series designed to help Ontarians understand, manage, and improve their cardiovascular health. Led by clinicians specializing in lipids and primary prevention, these sessions provide clear, practical guidance on lowering cholesterol, reducing cardiovascular risk, and building long-term habits that support a healthier life.

This program is fully OHIP-covered with a valid physician or nurse practitioner referral.

All sessions are live, interactive, and held virtually to support patients anywhere in Ontario.

Who This Program Is For Patients Who:

-Have high cholesterol or triglycerides
-Have a family history of early heart disease
-Have been advised to make lifestyle changes
-Are managing conditions like hypertension, diabetes, or metabolic syndrome
-Are starting or considering cholesterol-lowering medications
-Want a structured, supportive, clinician-led program

What to Expect:

Weekly 2-hour virtual sessions: led by clinicians specializing in cardiovascular prevention
Interactive learning: including examples, case discussions, and Q&A
Simple, practical strategies: tailored to real-life routines
Downloadable handouts: to use after each session
A supportive, judgment-free environment
Flexible participation: cameras on or off, depending on patient comfort

Patients will receive a program schedule and meeting link after referral approval.

How to Join:

Patients can participate with a referral from a family doctor, walk-in clinic doctor, nurse practitioner, or specialist.
